POLICIES
At MA Football Developer (MAFD), we aim to keep everything simple, clear and fair for families.
By booking and attending any MAFD session or term program, you agree to the policies outlined below.
BOOKING AND CANCELLATIONS POLICY
Term bookings
Term payments secure your child’s place in a specific group and time slot for the full term.
Because groups are carefully structured and capped, term fees reserve that position for your child for the duration of the term.
If MAFD cancels a session (Term bookings)
If MAFD cancels a session due to unsafe weather, venue issues, coach unavailability, or other unforeseen circumstances, that session will be credited toward the following term.
The credited session will be deducted from the next term’s invoice.
Make-up sessions within the same term are not guaranteed, as maintaining group balance and training structure is a priority.
In exceptional circumstances where multiple sessions are cancelled, MAFD will assess the situation and communicate the most appropriate solution.
Single session bookings
If MAFD cancels a single session booking, a credit or rescheduled session will be offered where possible.
If a player misses a booked session, the session is still charged.
Make-up sessions are not guaranteed. If a suitable opening becomes available and it does not disrupt group balance, MAFD may offer a make-up session at its discretion.
Player absence
If your child is unable to attend a session, please notify us as early as possible.
Missed sessions due to illness, injury, school commitments, holidays, or personal reasons are not automatically refunded or credited.
Late arrival
Sessions start and finish on time. Late arrivals may reduce training time. We are not able to extend sessions beyond the scheduled finish time.
Behaviour
MAFD is committed to providing a safe and positive training environment.
If a player’s behaviour becomes unsafe, disrespectful, or significantly disruptive, the coach may stop participation in that session. In such cases, refunds or make-up sessions are not guaranteed.
WEATHER AND VENUE POLICY
MAFD trains outdoors in public spaces across Melbourne.
Weather conditions
Sessions may be cancelled, paused, or modified if conditions are considered unsafe, including heavy rain, lightning, storms, extreme heat, poor ground conditions, or venue restrictions.
Safety always takes priority over completing a session.
Communication
We will communicate any cancellations or changes as early as possible on the day using our usual communication channels.
Credits for weather cancellations
For term bookings, cancelled sessions will be credited toward the following term and deducted from the next invoice.
For single session bookings, a credit or rescheduled session will be offered where possible.
SAFETY AND RISK WARNING
Football training involves physical activity and carries inherent risks of injury. These may include muscle strains, sprains, collisions, falls, and impact injuries.
By booking and attending MAFD sessions, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
Medical and fitness declaration
By enrolling your child, you confirm that they are medically fit to participate in football training.
You agree to inform MAFD of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or physical limitations prior to training.
Equipment and preparation
Players must wear appropriate footwear and bring water to every session.
Shin pads are strongly recommended and may be required during certain drills or games.
Supervision
MAFD coaches supervise players during their scheduled session time only.
Parents or guardians remain responsible for their child before the session begins and after it ends, as well as for any siblings not participating.
First aid and emergency
In the event of an injury, MAFD will provide basic first aid where appropriate and contact parents or guardians if needed.
In an emergency, MAFD may contact emergency services.
While MAFD takes reasonable steps to provide a safe training environment, we cannot eliminate all risks associated with outdoor sport and public venues.
MEDIA CONSENT AND PRIVACY
Filming and photography
MAFD may take photos and videos during training sessions for coaching review, quality control, and promotional purposes, including use on our website and social media platforms.
By booking and attending MAFD sessions, you acknowledge and agree that your child may appear in group photos or videos taken during training.
Group training environment
As sessions take place in small group settings, it may not always be possible to fully exclude a player from background or wide-angle footage.
If you have specific concerns regarding close-up filming or social media use, please contact us before the session. Where reasonably possible, we will aim to accommodate requests regarding close-up content.
Privacy
MAFD does not publish private contact details or sensitive personal information.
If a player is featured in content, no personal contact details will be shared publicly.
If you wish to update your media preference in the future, please contact us and we will apply changes going forward.
