POLICIES
MAFD Holiday Camp Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to the MAFD Holiday Camps taking place during 2026 and 2027 in Australia.
By completing a booking, the parent or guardian confirms that they are authorised to register the child and accept these Terms and Conditions.
Bookings and Attendance
Bookings are confirmed once full payment has been received.
Camp bookings apply only to the pass and dates selected at the time of purchase. Registrations cannot be transferred to another player without prior approval from MAFD.
Players will be grouped by age, ability and confidence where possible. MAFD reserves the right to adjust groups and coaching arrangements to maintain a safe and appropriate training environment.
Missed Camp Days
Missed days due to illness, injury, personal circumstances or changes of plans are non-refundable and cannot automatically be transferred or credited.
Families must inform MAFD as soon as possible if their child cannot attend. MAFD may offer a credit in exceptional circumstances at its discretion.
Cancellations and Changes by MAFD
If MAFD cancels an entire booked camp day and cannot provide a suitable alternative, families will receive a credit or refund for the affected day.
MAFD may modify the schedule, activities, location or format due to weather, ground conditions, coach availability or other operational or safety considerations.
Weather
The camp primarily takes place outdoors and may continue in light or moderate rain.
MAFD will make the final decision on whether activities proceed, are modified, relocated or cancelled. Families will be informed as soon as reasonably possible if significant changes are required.
Food and Drinks
Food and drinks are not provided.
Players must bring enough lunch, snacks and water for the full day. Due to allergies and player safety, children must not share food with other players.
A Parent Pack containing the schedule and a complete list of what to bring will be provided before the camp.
Medical Information and Participation
Parents and guardians must disclose any medical condition, injury, allergy, medication, behavioural consideration, disability or other matter that could affect the child’s participation, safety or wellbeing.
It is the family’s responsibility to ensure this information is accurate and updated before the camp.
Football involves physical activity and carries an inherent risk of injury. By registering, the parent or guardian confirms that the child is fit to participate except for any matters disclosed to MAFD.
MAFD may modify or stop a child’s participation where reasonably necessary for their safety or the safety of others.
Emergency Medical Assistance
The parent or guardian authorises MAFD to provide first aid and obtain reasonable emergency medical assistance if required, particularly when the nominated emergency contacts cannot be reached.
Any external medical, ambulance or treatment costs remain the responsibility of the child’s parent or guardian.
Camp from Carlton
The Full Week Pass from Carlton includes extended supervision and coordination from the 8:15am meeting time until the approximately 3:00pm return time.
The additional $60 covers the additional supervision and coordination provided across the four camp days. No separate fare is charged for travel between Carlton and Hampton.
By selecting this option, the parent or guardian authorises MAFD to arrange and provide travel for their child between the nominated Carlton meeting point and Simpson Reserve, Hampton.
Return times are estimates and may be affected by traffic or circumstances outside MAFD’s reasonable control. The exact meeting point and final arrangements will be provided in the Parent Pack.
Children must be handed directly to an authorised MAFD representative and collected by their parent, guardian or another adult nominated in writing.
MAFD will ensure passengers use the seatbelt, booster seat or child restraint required by law. Families must provide accurate information about the child’s age, height and transport requirements and must provide an appropriate child restraint if requested.
MAFD may refuse to transport a child if the required information or restraint has not been provided, or if safe and lawful transportation cannot be arranged.
If the Carlton option cannot be provided but the camp continues in Hampton, families may arrange their own travel and the $60 difference will be refunded or credited.
Drop-off and Collection
Parents and guardians are responsible for their child before they have been handed to an authorised MAFD representative and after they have been collected.
Children will only be released to their parent, guardian or another adult nominated by the family. Families must notify MAFD of any changes to collection arrangements.
Behaviour and Conduct
Players and families must behave respectfully towards coaches, other players, facilities and members of the public.
MAFD may pause or end a player’s participation where behaviour is seriously or repeatedly disruptive, inappropriate or unsafe. Any refund or credit will be considered reasonably based on the circumstances and services already provided.
Photos and Videos
Permission to use identifiable photos or videos will be requested separately during registration.
Consent is optional and can be withdrawn in writing. Choosing not to provide permission will not affect the child’s ability to participate in the camp.
Communication
By registering, the parent or guardian agrees to receive communications concerning the camp, including attendance, scheduling, weather, payments, emergencies and operational updates.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Final Decisions
MAFD reserves the right to make reasonable final decisions regarding player suitability, group placement, coaching structure, scheduling and participation where required for developmental, operational or safety reasons.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
At MA Football Developer (MAFD), we aim to keep everything simple, clear and fair for families. By booking and attending any MAFD session or term program, you agree to the policies outlined below.
BOOKING AND CANCELLATIONS POLICY:
Term bookings
Term payments secure your child’s place in a specific group and time slot for the full term.
Because groups are carefully structured and capped, term fees reserve that position for your child for the duration of the term.
If MAFD cancels a session (Term bookings)
If MAFD cancels a session due to unsafe weather, venue issues, coach unavailability, or other unforeseen circumstances, that session will be credited toward the following term.
The credited session will be deducted from the next term’s invoice.
Make-up sessions within the same term are not guaranteed, as maintaining group balance and training structure is a priority.
In exceptional circumstances where multiple sessions are cancelled, MAFD will assess the situation and communicate the most appropriate solution.
Single session bookings
If MAFD cancels a single session booking, a credit or rescheduled session will be offered where possible.
If a player misses a booked session, the session is still charged.
Make-up sessions are not guaranteed. If a suitable opening becomes available and it does not disrupt group balance, MAFD may offer a make-up session at its discretion.
Player absence
If your child is unable to attend a session, please notify us as early as possible.
Missed sessions due to illness, injury, school commitments, holidays, or personal reasons are not automatically refunded or credited.
Late arrival
Sessions start and finish on time. Late arrivals may reduce training time. We are not able to extend sessions beyond the scheduled finish time.
Behaviour
MAFD is committed to providing a safe and positive training environment.
If a player’s behaviour becomes unsafe, disrespectful, or significantly disruptive, the coach may stop participation in that session. In such cases, refunds or make-up sessions are not guaranteed.
WEATHER AND VENUE POLICY
MAFD trains outdoors in public spaces across Melbourne.
Weather conditions
Sessions may be cancelled, paused, or modified if conditions are considered unsafe, including heavy rain, lightning, storms, extreme heat, poor ground conditions, or venue restrictions.
Safety always takes priority over completing a session.
Communication
We will communicate any cancellations or changes as early as possible on the day using our usual communication channels.
Credits for weather cancellations
For term bookings, cancelled sessions will be credited toward the following term and deducted from the next invoice.
For single session bookings, a credit or rescheduled session will be offered where possible.
SAFETY AND RISK WARNING
Football training involves physical activity and carries inherent risks of injury. These may include muscle strains, sprains, collisions, falls, and impact injuries.
By booking and attending MAFD sessions, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
Medical and fitness declaration
By enrolling your child, you confirm that they are medically fit to participate in football training.
You agree to inform MAFD of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or physical limitations prior to training.
Equipment and preparation
Players must wear appropriate footwear and bring water to every session.
Shin pads are strongly recommended and may be required during certain drills or games.
Supervision
MAFD coaches supervise players during their scheduled session time only.
Parents or guardians remain responsible for their child before the session begins and after it ends, as well as for any siblings not participating.
First aid and emergency
In the event of an injury, MAFD will provide basic first aid where appropriate and contact parents or guardians if needed.
In an emergency, MAFD may contact emergency services.
While MAFD takes reasonable steps to provide a safe training environment, we cannot eliminate all risks associated with outdoor sport and public venues.
MEDIA CONSENT AND PRIVACY
Filming and photography
MAFD may take photos and videos during training sessions for coaching review, quality control, and promotional purposes, including use on our website and social media platforms.
By booking and attending MAFD sessions, you acknowledge and agree that your child may appear in group photos or videos taken during training.
Group training environment
As sessions take place in small group settings, it may not always be possible to fully exclude a player from background or wide-angle footage.
If you have specific concerns regarding close-up filming or social media use, please contact us before the session. Where reasonably possible, we will aim to accommodate requests regarding close-up content.
Privacy
MAFD does not publish private contact details or sensitive personal information.
If a player is featured in content, no personal contact details will be shared publicly.
If you wish to update your media preference in the future, please contact us and we will apply changes going forward.
